Carl J. Davis 'Junior' age 65 passed Monday, January 2, 2023 at his home in Athens, TN
surrounded by his family.
He was a retired maintenance worker from McMinn County Courthouse. and attend J.L Cook School and Calhoun High School. He also attended Church of Jesus Christ in Athens, TN.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Catherine Davis-Thompson.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Charmaine Hammonds Davis of Athens, TN. Step-son Martin F. Pierce Sr. of Riceville, TN and grandson Martin F. Pierce Jr. of Athens, TN. Sisters and brothers, Willene Davis, Sara Thompson, Yvonne Thompson, Eugene Thompson-Davis, and Jerry Thompson all of Knoxville, TN. Two uncles, John Davis of Sweetwater, TN., and June Mack of Athens,TN., one aunt, Barbara Jean Hammonds-King, of Athens, TN., and a special family and friends, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held
Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
at Church of Jesus Christ
1403 Hammerhill Rd in Athens, TN
with Bishop Clifford Barnes officiating.
