Buddy Sullivan, Sr.

Buddy Joseph Sullivan Sr. 90 , transitioned peacefully on February 12, 2022. He made his entry into this world on July 1, 1931, in Knoxville, Tn.

A graduate of East Technical High School in Cleveland, Oh. After graduating in the top three percent (3%) of his class. He attended Fenn College as well as Tri C Community College to pursue his passion as a custodial engineer. Buddy began his career as a custodial engineer on October 7, 1963 at Shaker Heights High School. He left Shaker on October 15, 1966, and began working for Cleveland Public School System until his retirement on November 30, 1991.

He was proceeded in death by his father Harlee Sullivan Sr., mother Reba Whitfield- Owens, and brother Harlee Sullivan Jr.

Buddy affectionately known as “Honey” was a loving husband to his wife Anna for 37 years.

He left to cherish his memories his children Buddy Jr. and Iris of Cleveland, Oh. Keith and Shana (Henry) of Athens, Tn. Goddaughters Montrie (Todd) Adams of Houston, Tx, Demia of Atlanta, Ga. Godson Marlon Dubose of Warrensville Heights, Oh. Grandchildren Ciare, Amy, Jake, Joseph, Nah’Shon, Jaliyah, Jehron, Tadj, Najah. Great-grandchildren Desia, Ayanna, Cadynn, Jayonna, Frances, Synaii, Demetric Jr., Ilee, Kiyanna, Chase, and Zion. Bonus grandchildren Jordan, Aviar, Ashley . Cousins near and dear to his heart Pearl Thompson, Barbara Nicholson & Peggy Summerall. His church family Unity Tabernacle Church of God of Cleveland, Oh.His church family Unity Tabernacle Church of God of Cleveland, Oh.

Celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022, with a visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Light of Life Ministries LLC., 1112 Congress North Parkway Athens, Tn .  Services of loving memory entrusted to M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Service – Athens, TN.

M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home will continue to be in compliance with COVID-19, mask are required at all times, and we will monitor for social distancing.
