Brenda Faye Price Lawrence , 72 of Cleveland, TN passed away on June 25, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Brenda was born on October 18, 1949, to Edith Moore and Alfred Price of Trion, GA. She was a loving mother of two, and an adoring wife to husband Clarence Lawrence for over 53 years. Brenda was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others and touching the hearts of everyone she met. Along with incorporating that into her motherhood and teaching her children and grandchildren how to love one another and care for everyone possible. In her free time, Brenda loved to be around her family and friends. Brenda's talents were many such as a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and community service worker.

Brenda was committed to her career and helping those in need. With her loving and kind heart, she always knew she had to give back to the community and she did that when she pursued an education at Cleveland State Community College, in Cleveland, TN. With a focus on human services, where she worked for the Department of Human Services for over 36 plus years. After Brenda retired she still continued to help the community and be an outstanding role model and mentor to everyone she crossed paths with.

In 1968, she was married to Clarence and in their union, they had two children. Clarence Kelly Lawrence (deceased), and Ravin (Eric) Boyd of Smyrna, TN. Brenda was known fondly as Mama Brenda to many due to her loving personality and motherly demeanor. Mama Brenda was a light that shined brightly whenever she walked into any room. We know that Brenda is enveloped with the love of her grandparents, her parents Edith Mae Reese and Alfred Price of Summerville, GA, her son Clarence Kelly Lawrence, and sister Carolyn Theresa Covington. Her late aunts Sybil Stallings, Laura Terhune, Katherine Dupree, Lola Evans, Edna G. Moore Moten, and Sue Moore. Her late uncles Felix Moore and Johnny Moore Jr. Her father and mother-in-law William Jack and Beatrice Sharp.

She is survived by her husband Clarence Lawrence, daughter Ravin (Eric) Boyd, and her grandchildren Dominique, and Monique Jefferson, Brendan, Tanner, and Indya Lawrence, Jonah, and Joseph Boyd. She is also survived by her siblings, Gail Price, Toni (Cameron) Christopher, Juilette S Echols, Ann M Scott, John (Angela) Price of Georgia. Her aunts Bonnie Spivey, Dale Penn, Jessma Covington, Stella Moore, and Janie Harris of Georgia. Her uncles Richard Moore, and Harry Moore of Alabama. Her sister in laws Vanissa Sharp, Cleveland, TN, and Teri (Bobbie) Evans, Minneapolis, MN, brother-in-laws Zachary (Cassandra) Sharp Cleveland, TN, and Stanford Sharp, Atlanta, GA. She also leaves several nieces and nephews as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins and her dearest and closest friends, Freddie and Betty Pitner who all loved her dearly.

Homegoing services will be held Sunday, July 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN., with pastor Rev. Edward S. Robinson sr. officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Interment will be on Tuesday morning July 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
