Betty Sue Dunn, 76, a resident of Cleveland, TN, entered her forever home on Saturday, June 27, 2020.  She now resides with her Heavenly Father.

She graduated from College Hill High School, Cleveland, TN.  Shortly after graduation, Betty enlisted in the U. S. Army and received an honorable discharge for her service. She worked for 32 years at Bendix (Honeywell), as an inspector.

Betty joined Mt. Eagle Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, TN at an early age.  She became a member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in 1992.  During her devoted membership, she served on the usher board and truly loved her position.  Betty served with a cheerful attitude, as she welcomed worshippers into the sanctuary. She also enjoyed working in the kitchen and serving in the Fellowship Hall.

Betty loved to cook for her children, grandchildren and extended family on special occasions and holidays.  No child would go hungry in her household, and all were welcome at her table to enjoy a delicious, well-cooked, old-fashioned meal.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Thursia Dunn; four brothers, Melvin Dunn, Thomas Dunn, Jr., Franklin Eugene Dunn, Sr. and James Allen Dunn; sisters-in-law, Willa Dunn and Jean Scott.

Her survivors include daughters, Holly Jacinta (Ben) Davis and Lisa Darlene Arnold; grandchildren, Taleishea Davis, Leyasia Woods, DeMarcus Arnold, Bianca Davis, and Isaiah Davis; great-grandchildren, Taleeah Jones, Tru Jones and Terrell Jones; sister, Sylvia (Wyman) Lewis of Cumming, GA; brother, Ronald Dunn of Cleveland, TN; sisters-in-law, Beverly Dunn and Barbara Dunn; a special Military buddy, Mary Tomey; several devoted friends; and a host of devoted nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 3, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Pollard delivering the eulogy. The body will lie in-state from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m.at the church on Friday, and from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honor guard.
