Angela Lynne Toliver age 57 a long-time resident of Athens, Tennessee died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 24th, 2020 in a local Chattanooga, TN. hospital. Angela was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 2nd, 1963 to Kenneth and Doris Faulkner. She graduated from Albany High School in Albany, California. She also attended Colorado State University. During her years in California she worked in the high-end retail resale industry and later enjoyed a successful career in real estate. Angela is preceded in death by her grandmother, Nellie Evans and close friend Cherell McBride.
Besides spending time with her children and family, she enjoyed outings with her close friends and involvement with her community. Angela loved being in the presence of others and often served as an unofficial social connector for anyone in need of help. She and her children were members of Freedman Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church and were fortunate enough to have an extended church family that they thoroughly enjoyed. Angela was filled with many natural abilities most of which were self-taught. She had a bright personality and a wonderful spirit of giving. She touched the lives of many with her extreme generosity and her passion for others.
Angela is survived by her parents Kenneth and Doris Faulkner and her four boys, Joshua Benjamin from her first union to Walter Benjamin, Tyrone, Tyree and Tyrelle Toliver from her second union to Willie Toliver and her longtime companion Bill Garrett. She had three grandchildren, Charlotte Benjamin and Tamiyah and Janiyah Toliver. Additionally, she leaves behind six siblings, Anndreia Faulkner (Ricardo Ochoa), Sean Faulkner, Leigh Anne Hales (Cameron Hales), Stephanie Faulkner, LeChé McGill (Bryce McGill) and Danielle Faulkner. She also had a host of nieces and nephews, Justin Dominique, Jorden and Ryleigh Hales, Julian Faulkner, Hunter and Ethan Owens, Curren McGill and several close friends in the Athens community which included Armetta Murdic, Deb Brenda Howard.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Freedman Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Athens, TN. Interment will follow at Hammonds Cemetery in Athens, TN. There will be a walk through visitation one hour before the service at the church from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Services of loving memory entrusted to M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home- Athens, Tennessee
