Alfred Tibbs

Alfred David Tibbs, age 71 of Cleveland, Tennessee went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 10, 2021 at Wynridge Healthcare in Crossville, TN.  He served in the U.S. Army and was most recently employed with Sethra Transit until his health failed.  He was an avid fisherman and loved overseeing various church dinners at the Church of God Sanctified where he was a faithful member.  He attended Sunday School faithfully and other church services.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Clara Tibbs, brother Freddie Pugh Sr., grandchildren Chris and Thomas Bradford, Alfred Tayshaun Jones and Chris Goodine.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Linda Sue Tibbs.  He is also survived by three children, Yolanda Achukwu, Chris (Karen) George, Clarissa “Reese” (Chazz) Jones, two daughters he chose Corlis Blair and Rita (Anthony) Griffin, siblings Phyllis Graham, Ann Armstrong, Charlotte (Raymond) Scott, Don Allen (Martha) Tibbs, Charles Tibbs Jr. and sister-in-law Phyllis Blair, grandchildren Yiesha, Danesha, Briana, Chris Allen, Yasmin, Le’Asia, Ben and the two grandchildren he chose Ricky and Ashley.  One great grandchild Amira “Tink Tink”.  A host of nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life service will be Thursday June 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the M. D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home Cleveland, Tennessee with Bishop G. R. Hill officiating.

In compliance with COVID-19, social distancing will be observed and face mask are required. There will be a walk- through visitation on Wednesday June 16, 2021 5:00 -7:00 pm., also, prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
