Leona Carpenter

Leona ‘LeeLee’ Carpenter age 25 of Cleveland, TN. passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
Leona graduated from Cleveland High School. She loved her family and friends dearly. Her children were the light of her life. She was patience, kind and loved by many. Leona smile and laugh were unforgettable. She enjoyed cooking, doing hair and helping her granny.
She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Booker Tony Woods Jr., and Micky Thompson. Uncle, Kevin Woods, great-grandparents, Willa and James Blair and James Pugh.

She was born in Long Beach California to parents Vickiesha( Jacques) McMahan of Cleveland, TN.,and Leon Jerome Carpenter of Los Angelas Ca. She had two children, Marreona Carpenter and Austin Dodd Jr. Two brothers, Anthony Armstrong and Elijah Lovelady. Six sisters, Diamond Lovelady of Cleveland, Latiera Carpenter, Jasmine Carpenter, Jaelee Carpenter , De’janee’Winkfield and Stephanie Lyle all of Calif. Her special love Tra Dodd of Cleveland, Tn. Grandparents, Joan and Rev. David Steward of Cleveland, TN., and Mary Thompson of Los Angelas, Calif. Great-grandparents, Booker and Hannah Woods and Mary McGawon all of Los Angelas, Calif. Four aunts, Denisesha (Bryon)Gunn of Cleveland, TN., Sonique Steward, Monique Woods and Theresa Carpenter all of Calif.. Six uncles, Kevin(Shannon) Steward, and Corey Lovelady both of Cleveland, James Woods, Bryant Steward, Jason Steward, and Craig Steward all of Calif. Special cousins Shaunta Ladd, Michelle Dugais, Avery(Crystal) Ladd, Denver Anderson and Michael Steward all of Cleveland, TN. a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with pastor Rev. Edward S. Robinson Sr. delivering the eulogy. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
