Robert Wells

Robert (Bobby) Lee Wells, age 76, departed from this life March 11, 2017, surrounded by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jessie and Carrie Latham Wells; wife of 43 years Judy Wells; sons Tommy Winton, Eric Wells, and Dwight & Dewayne Moore.
He was employed at ORNL for over 30 years and was member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Niota, TN.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory four sons, Rodney (Kim) Wells of Sweetwater, TN, Timothy Wells of Niota, TN, Kent Moore, and Alonzo Moore: four daughters, Judy Winton of Knoxville, TN, Carlus Thompson of Athens, TN, Valerie (Jonathan) Mack of Charleston, TN, and Connis (Willie) Coleman of Knoxville, TN: one sister, Jeanette Lewis of Detroit, MI; five sisters-in-law, Anna Shields of Niota, TN, Helen Rucker, Edna (Billy) Simpson of Athens, TN, Dean (Melvin) Oggs, and Polly (Jackie) Mayotte of Sweetwater, TN; five brothers-in-law, Junior (Mattie) McCowan, Jimbo Simpson, Chester (Turly) Smith, of Athens, TN, Chester McCowan of Niota, TN, and Hugh Latham of Sweetwater, TN, sixteen grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, special friends Gene Arnwine, Wayne Edwards, Joe Lenoir, and David Upton, and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 1:00p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Greater Deliverance Church in Athens, TN. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday with Pastor Angela Arnwine delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Moore Cemetery in Niota, TN.
