Donald William Smith age 63 of Sweetwater, TN. departed this life on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Fort Sanders Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He was born and raised in Sweetwater,, TN., and attended Sweetwater Schools.
He was a member of First United Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by sister Beatrice Smith, son Donald Williams Smith Jr., father Mills Smith, grandparents Mattie & Alexander Bradley and Floyd & Hattie Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Grenada Michelle Smith of Sweetwater, TN., and Nancy Smith of Morristown, TN. Grandchildren Sierra Michelle Kelley & Nathaniel Dexter Kelley of Madisonville, TN. Mother Geneva Smith of Sweetwater, TN. Brothers Eugene Smith of Cleveland, TN., Jake Smith of Knoxville, TN., and Wilbert Smith and Clarence Smith of Sweetwater, TN. Aunts Louise Moore and Grace Moore of Niota, TN., and Sue Kelso of Sweetwater, TN., and uncle Lewis Bradley of Athens, TN.

Memorial services will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Ivey Smith delivering the eulogy.
