Isaiah Jamal Parris, age 23, passed away on January 26, 2017. He was a graduate of McMinn County High School and resided in Cleveland, TN. Known mostly for his lively personality, Isaiah was always the life of the party and took every chance he could to spend time with his family. He is preceded in death by his mother Shannon Smith and father Ron Bazel, aunt Leatrice McDermott, grandparents Eva and Ronnie Bazel, great-grandparents Flora and Lonnie Jackson and William and Rose Reasonover, John Miller and cousin Dion Parks.
He leaves to mourn his passing one brother Martin Smith, two sisters Charity Parris and Savannah Smith, stepfather Neal Smith, grandparents Beverly Henry and Lebron (Terrie) Miller, four aunts Chaun Bazel, Tiffiany (Brian) Parris, Kristina (Jan) Parks, Misty Walker-Dean, and two uncles Sam Bazel and Joseph Walton. Other survivors include special cousins Jamaya Bazel, Jakylon Bazel, William (Jenna) Parris, Kendall Parris, Preston Mooney, Quincy (Breanna) Parris, Aleah Parris, Keaira Poteet, Shyla Poteet, Evashea White, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive A.M.E. Zion Church in Etowah, Tn. with Rev. Joe Moore delivering the eulogy. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Etowah, Tn. Visitation by friends will be on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home- Cleveland, Tn.
