Ruby Denton

Ruby Lillian Denton age 77, a resident of Charleston, Tn., passed Friday December 9, 2016 in a Cleveland, TN. hospital. She knew the Lord and was of the Baptist faith. Ruby was retired from Maytag with over 30 years working there as a product tester.
She was a remarkable person, raising her family, working, and going back to school where she completed her GED. She loved cooking, gardening and selling her home-grown produce at the local farmer’s market. She was very skilled as a quilt-maker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harley Morrison, and Lula Mae Cooley Morrison.
She leaves to cherish her many memories, her loving children and family, Norma Jean(Wendell) Waters of Cleveland, TN., Ryky ‘Ricky’ Allen (Teresa) Denton of Charleston, TN., Faye Belinda (Dewayne) McCaskill of Athens, TN., Donna Miller of Charleston, TN., and Matthew James (Elizabeth Ann) Denton also of Charleston, TN. Two brothers, Clarence (Sarah K.) Morrison of Cleveland, TN., and Junior Ned Morrison of Charleston, TN. Three sisters, Mary Frances (William) Dye, and Carrie Everett all Cleveland, TN., and Jeanette (Joe) of Decatur, TN. Eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home- Cleveland, Tn., with Rev. Randy Cooley delivering the eulogy.Interment to follow at Conasuga Cemetery in Etowah, TN.
