Delores Lindsey

Delores Jean Cansler Lindsey age 83 of Cleveland, Tn. went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in a local hospital. She was a faithful member of Church of God Sanctified in Cleveland, Tn., serving in the choir, on the usher board, and missionary ministry until her health began to decline.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Wiley Lindsey, and parents Clarence and Margaret Broyles, one son Ronald Lindsey, and granddaughter, Atiya Lindsey, one sister, Geraldine Cansler, two brothers, William Cansler, and Robert Cansler.
She leaves to cherish memories of love and a strong family bond 13 children. Five sons, John Lindsey of Cleveland, Carl Lindsey of Atlanta, Charles Lindsey and Patrick Lindsey both of Cleveland, and Tyrone Lindsey of Atlanta. Eight daughters, Sandra Horton, Sharon (David Sr.) Piersaul, Janice McClutchins, Linda(Zell) Fields, Valerie McCoy of Cleveland, Alba(Kimani) Marshall, Joyce(Antonio) Taylor and Patricia Lindsey all of Cleveland, Tn. Thirty-eight grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and other relatives. Special friends, Sherry Goodine, Louelle Hill, Carolyn Valdez and Sandra Tate.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 5:00 at Church of God Sanctified in Cleveland, Tn. with pastor Bishop G.R. Hill officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
