Ernest Lee Nance Jr. (Teddy) age 64 was born January 18, 1952, in Bradley County to the late John Ernest Nance and Willie Virginia Nance. He put on his long white robe and danced, danced, danced all morning long on April 28, 2016, once he stepped in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday morning.
Ernest grew up and lived in Cleveland, TN where he attended Highpoint Elementary School and graduated from Cleveland High School. After graduation, he participated in the Heavy Lifting Equipment School in Charlotte, NC. During this time, Ernest would drive back and forth to Cleveland to visit his new bride, his first wife, Linda Deakins Nance. Their marriage endured many challenges because of their racial differences, but it only helped their love to grow even stronger. Ernest lost Linda after twenty-years of marriage due to illness. Ernest was a dedicated employee to Cleveland Utilities where he worked for thirty- four years before retiring in May of last year. He enjoyed the comradery with his coworkers and the support they gave him.

In 1996, Ernest met and married Ada Sanders Nance of this union Ernest leaves to cherish memories to three daughters Ashly Day Womack, (Ooltewah) Rachel Michelle Johnson, (Ooltewah) Chelsea Bianca Johnson (Chattanooga). Sister Azella Virgina Smith (Len), of Jonesboro, GA. Special Nephew, Patrick O’Neal Langham (Jennifer) Sacramento, CA, Two nieces Ansley and Hollis Langham One nephew Previn Langham of Sacramento, CA. He also leaves two aunts Mary Elizabeth King of Cleveland, TN and Gladys Margaret Williams of Knoxville, TN. Mother-in-law Joann Sanders of Ooltewah, TN two sisters –in-law, Angela Edwards (Donald) of Ooltewah, TN., Angela Sanders of Ooltewah, TN Three brothers –in-law, Anthony Sanders of Chattanooga, Anderson Sanders (Dana) of Harrison, TN, and Aaron Sanders of Bloomington, IN. Special nephews Aden Sanders and Germarion Hubbard both of Ooltewah, TN. He also leaves his special friend Nathan Randy Runyon's of Cleveland, TN along with many nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ooltewah Church of God with Rev. Edmond Stallings officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery in Cleveland, TN.
