Keith Edwin Harris Tyler age 52 died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in a Knoxville, TN. hospital. He was formerly employed with Penn Gulf, and a 1982 graduate of McMinn County High School, where he participated in basketball holding multiple records that are still unbroken. He attended Overcoming Faith Christian Center in Athens, Tn.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Harris and an uncle Don Harris.
Survivors include, one son, Martrell Harris of Nashville, TN., one daughter, Jaleah Patton of Morristown, Tn. One sister, Missy(David) Hill of Chattanooga, TN., and brother Mike Harris of Athens, TN. Two aunts, Carol McClendon of Athens, TN., and Loretta Cobb of Athens, TN. Three uncles, Kevin(Brenda) Harris of Decatur, TN., James Harris of Cleveland, TN., and Tony(Ruth) Harris of Newport, TN. Two nieces, Chastity Harris of Alcoa, TN., and Niala Harris of Athens, TN. One nephew, Matthew Hill of Chattanooga, TN. A host of cousins, other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at the Overcoming Faith Christian Center in Athens, TN., with pastor Harold McCowan officiating. Interment will follow at New Zion Cemetery in Etowah, TN.
The family will receive friends on Saturday December 19, 2015 from 3:00 p.m.
until7:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home- Athens, TN.
