Timothy P. Mathews age 57 died Tuesday September 15, 2015 at a health Care facility in Madisonville, Tn. He was a graduate of McMinn County High School class of 1976.
He is preceded in death by his parents Sidney and Evelyn Mathews, brother, David Mathews, grandparents, Frank Charles Mathews and Jewell Wood Stiles Mathews of Athens, Tn., and Parker Wilson and Beulah Wilson of Niota, Tn.
Survivors include one brother, Sidney R. Mathews of Panama City, Fla., one daughter, Ginger L. ( Brently) Mayotte of Knoxville, Tn., three granddaughters, C’rez Mayotte of Athens, Tn., Brielle Mayotte of Johnson City, Tn., and Ariah Mayotte of Knoxville, Tn. Two great- grandchildren, Raleigh Pierce and Dykiah Dowell of Athens, Tn. One niece, Lauren Mathews of Chattanooga, Tn. Special friend, Lorie Gale Hackney of Athens, Tn., many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home, Athens, Tn. with Rev. Vant Hardaway officiating.
