Bucky Jackson

Bucky L. Jackson age 65 died September 15, 2015 at his residence in Etowah, Tn. He was retired from Bowater Southern Paper Company in Calhoun, Tn. after 25 years, and served his country in the United States Navy. At an early age he attended Mt. Olive A.M.E. Zion church in Etowah, Tn., and also worship at Everlasting Life Church in Etowah, Tn.

He is preceded in death by his parents Estiver and Earnestine Jackson, three sisters, Rosemary Hammonds, Bertie Hammonds, Inez Pratt and one brother Gary Jackson.

Survivors include one daughter, Charity Parris of Georgetown, Tn., three sisters, Shirley (Sam) Neal of Athens, Tn., Sandra Elrod of Cleveland, Tn., and Deborah Mayfield of Etowah, Tn. One brother, James F. Moss of Etowah, Tn. Three aunts, Frances Pierce of Etowah, Tn., Jessie Boyd of Charleston, Tn., and Edith Harper of Etowah, Tn. Brother-in-law, Kenneth Wade Hammonds. Special friends, Raymond and Juanita Jackson, Sue Ellen Jackson, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home- Athens, Tn., with Rev. Kevin Harris officiating.
