Hubert J. Jones

John Hubert Jones age 72 born in Knoxville, Tn. to the late John & Mildred Jones, departed this life June 5, 2015 at his residence.

He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where he was a member of the male chorus. He was retired from Classic Express Trucking Company, where he was employed for many years.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Norma Jean Jones, brother William Jones, Aunts, Eula Lee Geeter, Fannie Tate, and Jessie Greenlee, uncles, Hoyt Geeter, George Geeter, Hubert Geeter, and James Geeter.

He leaves to cherish his memories, sincerely loyal and dedicated friend Sandra Jones of Cleveland, Tn., daughter Demetria (Chris) Tolbert of Chattanooga, Tn. sons, Alonzo (Karen) Jones of Cleveland, Tn., Hubert (Valerie) Jones Jr. of Tullahoma. Tn., Darryl (Elisha) Craigmiles of Chattanooga, Tn and Demetrius Jones of Cleveland, Tn. Twenty-two grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. Sisters, Frankie( Gregory) Thompson of Cleveland, Tn., Johnnie Bell Westfield of Phil, Pa., Maxine(Charles) Chandler and Shirley(Scott) all of Knoxville, Tn.

Brothers, Thomas(Glennice) Jones, Edward Donnell(Sandra) Jones both of Knoxville, Tn., A special cousin, Clarence Tate and a special friend Scott Cotner. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tn. with Pastor Rev. Edward S. Robinson Sr. delivering the eulogy. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Visitation by friends will be after 1:00 p.m. on Friday at M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home- Cleveland, Tn.
