Leon Westfield

Leon Franklin Westfield age 55, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Life Care in Cleveland, TN. He was raised in the St. Elmo Church and attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Cleveland, Tn., and re-commited his life to Christ through a Christian outreach while at Sky Ridge medical center. He was a laborer, and is the son of the late Carl and Margaret Westfield. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Winston and Robert L. Westfield, one sister, Phyllis Marie Winton, one nephew, Kevin Maurice Winton and a life partner Willette Goldston.
Survivors include one daughter, Latoya Dodd, three grandchildren, Raquan Dodd, Valdasha Whaley and Antonio Whaley Jr. of Cleveland, TN. Five aunts, Mary Winton of Athens, TN., Teresa (Sherman) Huff of Fayetteville, NC., Madra Thompson of Atlanta, GA., Frances Arnold of Cleveland, TN., and Grace (Sherman) McCleary of Charleston, TN. Three uncles, Tom (Faye) Thompson of Georgetown, TN., Calvin Thompson of Athens, TN., William (Linda) Thompson of Etowah, TN. Three nieces, Tika Wilson of Cleveland, TN., Teresa Westfield of Georgetown, TN., Kelley (Morrow) Mack of Athens, TN. Two nephews, Donnie (Jamie) Lowe of Cleveland, TN., and Robert (Tommie) Westfield Jr. of Georgetown, TN. Several great nieces and nephews. A host of cousins and friends. Special friends, Arthel Parks and Marvel Locke.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home in Cleveland Tn. with Rev. Marvin Howard and Rev. Charlie Mack officiating. Interment will follow at St. Elmo Church Cemetery in Georgetown, Tn. The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 2:00 until 3:00 at the funeral home on Sunday. Visitation by friends will begin after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home.
