Willie Carzelle Brown age 80 of Cleveland passed on Saturday April 25, 2015. She was a member of Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, where she served on the Women’s Missionary Group and in the choir.
She was the daughter of the late Silas and Orpha Mae Williams.
She is preceded in death also by three brothers, James Lee Williams, John Stanley Williams, Thurman Merrill Williams, and three sisters, Lillian Ware, Alma Jo Williams, and Nora Mae Williams, and husband Harold Brown.
Survivors include her son, Charlton C. (Joyce) Williams of Canton, Miss., three grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Williams, Charlton Corey Williams Jr., and Keyada Wilson-Lomax all of New Orleans, La. Four great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Kathleen (George) Lodge of Dorchester, Mass., and Dana Hurst of Buffalo, N.Y, one brother Vernon (Dean) Williams of Cleveland, Tn., a devoted friend and partner in life Alfonso Tillery, devoted friend and nephew Anthony Hall, family friend Laverne B. Williams of New Orleans, many nieces, and nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church in Cleveland with Pastor Teresa Oglesby officiating and delivering the eulogy. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery. Visitation by friends will begin after 12:00 noon on Friday at M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
