Ona Darlene Simpson age 66 of Etowah, Tn. died Saturday December 20, 2014 in a local Athens health care facility. She was a member of Church of The Rock where she was one of the praise and worship leaders. She added her lovely voice to singing and praising the Lord there.
She is preceded in death by her brother Freddie Malone, and sister, Wanda Womac. She was the daughter of the late Helen Robinson.
Survivors include her husband Donald Mack Simpson of Etowah, Tn. Two daughters, Brianna Simpson of Etowah, Tn., and Ashley Simpson of New York. Four sisters, Delores (Robert) Mahoney of Riceville, Tn., Sammie Swanks of Decatur, Tn., Donna (Leon) Devine and Debbie Malone all of Etowah, TN. Two brothers, Gene Burke and Alan Robinson both of Decatur, TN. Two brothers-in-law, Ernie Simpson of Etowah, TN and Arnold (Sheila) Simpson of Sweetwater, Tn. One sister-in-law, Dorothy Lemons of Etowah, Tn. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
