Martha Ann Barrett Parker age 70 went home to be with the Lord, Monday October 13, 2014.

She was a giving, loving, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who loved working in her church and caring for her family.

She professed her faith in Christ at the age of 10 and joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and remained an active member.

She served in the choir, and work diligently on the kitchen committee of the church. She was a member of the College Hill High School class of 1962.

She was retired from Cleveland Housing Authority and from Cleveland City Schools.

She is preceded in death by her parents Romane and Willie Mae Barrett, brothers, Earl Jarrett, James Jarrett, Nathaniel Jarrett and Romane Barrett Jr., and one grandson Orenthal James ‘OJ’ Blair.

Many memories of her smile, and love will be cherished by her family and friends. Two sons, Troy M. Parker and Charles Barry Parker both of Cleveland, Tn. One sister, Margaret Tate of Cleveland, Tn. Brothers. Timothy (Mallory) Barrett, Charles Brown, and Dexter Brown all of Cleveland, Tn.

Granddaughter, Brittany Parker of Atlanta, Ga., and grandsons Swan Parker, Michael Parker, and Dyshawn Ware all of Cleveland, Tn. Two great-grandsons, Tristan and Nakoma Blair. Two aunts, Marie Barrett, and Addie Barrett both of Birmingham, Ala. Six nieces, Lisa (Kerry) Smith, Aileen (Patrick) Shepherd, Martha Craigmiles, Beth Barrett, and Josephine (Walter) Brown all of Cleveland, Tn. and Teri Bentan of Dalton, Ga. Two nephews, Austin (Pam) Tate of Etowah, Tn., and Noble Jarrett of Pittsburg, Pa. Many great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends and her church family.
