Mildred Ruth (Moss) Alexander, age 90, of Douglasville, GA died August 8, 2014 at Douglasville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was formerly a Teacher’s Aid at Mt. View Elementary School in Etowah, TN along with other professions. She attended Overcoming Faith Christian Center and World Changers Church International.

Mildred is preceded in death by her Father and Mother - James Hugh Moss and Bertie Simpson Sanders; infant twins sons - Brett and Bart Walker; five Brothers and one Sister - Frank (Ernestine) Moss, Edith (Robert) Cobb, Robert Leonard ”Banger” (Ruth) Moss, Carl David “Sam” Moss, Oliver (Alva) Sanders, and Audrey Sanders; one son In-Law - James ”Patch” Ferguson; a special niece Diane Harrison.

Survivors of Mildred include her children - Wanda Ferguson, Faye Billingsley, Wayne Stovall, James (Maria) Walker, Rita (Steve) Smith, and Tonya (Ronnie) Chambers; fourteen Grandchildren - Gerald (Julie), Stacie, Brett, Kathy, Guy, Chris, Ericka, Monty, Shi (Beth), Julian, Falen, Lauren, Matthew and Destini; twenty Great Grandchildren - Alexis, Jared, Jaylah, Janay, Drew, Elijah, Eyde, Cody, Casey, Indya, Tanner, Isral, Gloria, CJ, Kiya, Kealin, Kari, Shyla, Brenson, and Jylan; three Great Great Grandchildren London, Valeria and Miles; along with a host of Nieces and Nephews - Gilda McDermott, Robert Cobb, Tina Harvey and Alan Sanders to name a few and other relatives and friends.

Mama Doll, Mildred, Doll, Aunt Doll, Doll Baby, was an inspiration to all those who knew her. She shared the love and joy of Jesus with whomever she came into contact.

The family will attend morning services at Overcoming Faith Christian Center on Sunday, August 17, 2014 then host a “Celebration of Life” at the Athens Regional Park Conference Center at 3:30pm.

In Lieu of flowers, the family will take up an offering for a scholarship fund in the name of Mildred Alexander to be given to a student of McMinn County High School or McMinn Central High School in the graduating class of 2015.
