Nathaniel Roberts

Nathaniel Roberts age 81 of Sweetwater, Tn. went home to be with the Lord Friday, August 1, 2014 at a Knoxville, Tn. hospital. A native of McMinn County, he was born May 27, 1933 to the late Tom and Cora Roberts. He received his education in McMinn County public schools, afterwards he served in the United States Armed Forces. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by one son Nate Pickel, four brothers, Theodore Roberts, Ben Roberts, James Roberts, and Orlando Roberts, and two sisters, MaeDella Mayotte, and Ada Bailey.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Dolina Roberts, two children, Maurice Roberts, and Debra N. Roberts. Three grandchildren, Ashley Roberts, Brittany Roberts, and Lakiesha Bates and two great-grandchildren. One brother, Charlie (Leath) Roberts, and a host of brother-in-laws and sisters-in-law, with a devoted sister and brother-in-law Lillian Gaines and James Morris, as well as four loving relatives as best friends, Geraldine Wright, Joann Billingsley, Grace Mosely, Alice Mae Scruggs,a loving neighbor Jacquelyn Bofer and a host of nephews and nieces.
